How gift bingo works
It keeps everyone watching the gift opening, and it's easy enough for grandma and the kids to play.
- Before the gifts come out, hand each guest a card and a pen.
- As the mom-to-be opens each present, guests mark the square that matches.
- The first guest to fill a row, column or diagonal yells "BINGO!" and wins a prize.
A different card for every guest
Each card is filled with popular baby gifts, shuffled in a different order for every guest. Nobody shares a card, so the game stays fair and the winner is a real surprise.
The gift list
These are the presents that show up at almost every baby shower. Use them as a starting point for your cards:
Diapers, Wipes, Onesie, Swaddle blanket, Receiving blanket, Burp cloths, Bibs, Bottles, Bottle brush, Bottle warmer, Pacifier, Teether, Rattle, Board books, Hooded towel, Baby bathtub, Baby shampoo, Diaper cream, Diaper bag, Changing pad, Baby monitor, Car seat, Stroller, Baby carrier, Play mat, Bouncer, Crib sheets, Sleep sack, Socks, Mittens, Hat, Pajamas, Stuffed animal, Nursing pillow, Breast pump, Baby lotion, Nail clippers, Thermometer, Gift card, Baby memory book, Picture frame.
Edit the list however you like when you make your cards. Take out what isn't on the registry, or add items straight from the mom-to-be's registry so the squares match what she's actually getting.
Card options
Everything comes in one printable PDF:
- 5×5, 4×4 or 3×3 cards, so the game fits the size of your shower
- Regular letter paper (8.5 × 11 in), with 2, 3 or 4 cards per page and cut lines
- A unique card for every guest, up to 200 cards
- A caller sheet the host can use as a checklist while the gifts are opened
Pick the right card size
Match the card to the number of gifts. If the mom-to-be is only opening a handful of presents, go smaller, or nobody will get bingo before the last box. As a rule of thumb: fewer than 15 gifts, try 3×3; 15 to 30 gifts, 4×4; more than 30, 5×5.
